Plants for shade – “V’heshianu Tachas Haeitz” - $7,200

We learned many of the ways and manners of how to treat our guests from the biblical scene of Patriarch Abraham feeding the three angels. Bringing them under the shade of the tree is mentioned as an important element of hospitality he gave his guests while they were waiting for their meal. This dedication will help pay for the window shades and the outside trees/hedges that will be planted to enhance privacy. “V’heshianu Tachas Haeitz” are the Hebrew words explaining how Patriarch Abraham seated them under the tree (Vayera 18:4).   Needless to say, one of the most important elements of making our services culturally accessible is by helping people be discreet and private when they come for help. This dedication can also be displayed next to the window shades in addition to the main dedication wall.
