Burshtiner Rebbe, Rabbi David Eichenstein climbs a ladder to lay schach on Masbia’s Sukkah in order to take part in the great mitzvah of feeding the needy during Sukkot. The Zohar teaches us to open our doors to the Ushpizin, guests. According to the Zohar, the food that you would have offered your ‘guests’ should be given to the poor instead, and that is the only way you earn their stay in your sukkah. This photo was taken outside the original Masbia of Boro Park site on 14th Ave.
